hair : shampoo and conditioner

How to use me?
To use the solide shampoo:
Wet your hair, then rub the shampoo all over your scalp. There’s no need to apply it to lengths, as the generous lather will wash through them, right down to the tips! Keep the shampoo as dry as possible between uses, just like a soap, to make it last longer.
To use the solid conditionner:
After washing and rinsing your hair, apply the conditioner to lengths and ends. There’s no need to leave it on, but don’t forget to rinse it off!

My ingredients
About the ingredients of the solid shampoo:
- Abyssinian oil (Crambe abyssinica seed oil) cleanses the hair by lifting away grease and impurities, nourishes the hair, and doesn’t leave an oily residue. Rich in fatty acids, it provides nourishment and shine.
- Madder root powder (Rubia tinctorum root powder) is an Ayurvedic powder that gives hair shine and lustre. It also gives a pretty colour to the shampoo!
- Sunflower oil (helianthus annuus seed oil*) nourishes and protects the hair. It’s more suitable for normal hair than coconut oil, plus it comes from Europe!
- A surfactant (sodium cocoyl isethionate) cleans the hair while being gentle on the scalp. This ingredient is plant-derived, but because the manufacturing process involves a chemical reaction, it cannot be certified organic.
- A secondary surfactant (coco-glucoside) boosts the lather created by the sodium cocoyl isethionate.
- White clay (kaolin) is used for its purifying and deep-cleansing properties.
- A delicious scent with praline notes, made in France.
- Palmitic and stearic acids, which are fatty acids derived from olive oil, help to keep the shampoo solid and make it last.
- Tocopherol helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, a plant-derived antioxidant (Vitamin E), prevents the botanical oils from going rancid. It’s contained in sunflower oil.
About the ingredients of the solide conditionner:
- The hair conditioning agent (Archidyl/behenyl betainate esylate (and) arachidyl/behenyl alcohol) is 100% bio-based, derived from sugar beet and rapeseed, and made in France. It’s used to detangle the hair and leave it feeling soft.
- Organic sunflower oil (Helianthus annuus seed oil*) nourishes and protects the hair, and works with most hair types. We preferred to use this oil rather than coconut oil, as it could be sourced in France.
- Organic shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii butter*) contains Vitamins A, D and E, improves shine and suppleness, and is good for hair growth. It also contains linoleic, oleic, stearic and palmitic acids, which deeply nourish the hair. Nourished hair means more beautiful hair, as it’s much stronger and softer!
- The carbohydrates in organic corn starch (Zea mays starch) are excellent humectants/hydrators that coat the hair fibre and add softness and shine.
- A fresh, energising scent with citrus and basil notes makes this conditioner a pleasure to use! The fragrance is made in France from molecules whose origin is a trade secret.
- Cetearyl alcohol and coco glucoside make the product easy to use – and to rinse off!
- Tocopherol Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, a plant-derived antioxidant (Vitamin E), prevents vegetable oils from going rancid, and is contained in sunflower oil. While this ingredient may seem insignificant, it actually plays an important role in the durability of the product.
