What's the difference between an antiperspirant deodorant and your solid deodorant ?

As its name indicates, an antiperspirant deodorant prevents sweat from escaping. Our deodorant, on the other hand, works to destroy the bacteria in sweat so that they can't produce an unpleasant odour. To be effective, antiperspirants use aluminium salts, which block skin pores. These aluminium salts are said to be dangerous, following numerous studies – both recent and from several years ago. For example, a study carried out in 2003 by KG McGrath concluded that breast cancer occurred eight years earlier in women who shaved their underarms and used an antiperspirant than those who didn't use one. When women shave their underarms, the aluminium can enter the body more easily.
