Rhassoul clay and organic essential oils for healthy, happy hair!
Say goodbye to hair that gets greasy quickly and overly frequent shampooing! This solid shampoo solves your oily hair problems, plus it's zero waste!
Rhassoul is the clay that's most often recommended for oily hair. It absorbs sebum and purifies the scalp without being harsh. It's joined by a duo of organic essential oils – bergamot and cypress – with purifying properties. Together, these ingredients work to keep your hair shiny and keep sebum at bay, so you won't have to wash your hair as often anymore!
Plus, you get 25% more product for the same price as before, and even more lather! Contents: 70ml.
Wet your hair, moisten the shampoo, then either apply it with your hands or rub it directly over your scalp. There's no need to apply the shampoo to the ends of your hair. Massage your scalp to work up a lather, then rinse well. It's as simple as that!
Precautions and storage:
To ensure that your solid shampoo lasts for as long as possible, look after it in the same way as our other solid products. Keep it dry between uses by placing it on our Incredible Organiser, in a small storage jar, or in one of our mini pouches!
This shampoo contains essential oils and is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for children under the age of 12. PAO: 12 months. Even though its scent is irresistible, this shampoo mustn't be eaten!
A closer look at the 9 ingredients in our solid shampoo with rhassoul clay
6 ingredients that wash and care for the hair:
French organic sunflower oil (Helianthus annuus seed oil*) nourishes and protects the hair.
A surfactant (sodium cocoyl isethionate) cleans the hair while being gentle on the scalp. This ingredient is plant-derived, but because the manufacturing process involves a chemical reaction, it cannot be certified organic. We chose this surfactant so that we could avoid sulphate surfactants (which are bad for the hair and the environment) as well as surfactants with poor cleansing properties.
A secondary surfactant (coco-glucoside) boosts the lather created by the sodium cocoyl isethionate.
Rhassoul or ghassoul (Moroccan lava clay), rich in natural saponins, absorbs sebum. This is the clay that's most often recommended for oily hair. It purifies the scalp, while being gentle on it too.
Organic bergamot essential oil (Citrus aurantium bergamia peel oil*) helps to regulate excess sebum.
Organic cypress essential oil (Cupressus sempervirens leaf/nuts/stem oil*) works to purify the scalp.
3 ingredients that give the shampoo its sensorial qualities and make it last:
Palmitic and stearic acids, which are fatty acids derived from olive oil, help to keep the shampoo solid and make it last.
Tocopherol; helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, a plant-derived antioxidant (Vitamin E), prevents the botanical oils from going rancid. It's contained in sunflower oil.
CITRAL, LIMONENE, LINALOOL: allergens naturally present in the essential oils.

By using our solid shampoos, you'll avoid using liquid shampoos in plastic bottles. What's more, they last even longer than the liquid version, and you won't waste a single drop!
We put a lot of thought and care into our formulas to ensure that they're as natural as possible. We wanted to use a gentle, sulphate-free surfactant that was compatible with the manufacturing process for a solid cosmetic, as well as product usage. It had to have excellent cleansing properties and produce a good lather, and also be plant-derived and easily biodegradable. For us, the only surfactant that met all these criteria was SCI, which combines naturalness with pleasure of use and effectiveness. It means that our shampoos cannot be certified COSMOS Organic, but we felt this was the right decision.
At Lamazuna, all our products are designed to be zero waste, and we take into account every stage in their life cycle to ensure that they're as environmentally friendly as possible. Our packaging is made from recyclable cardboard (because we can't send our products to you naked, but you can recycle the boxes of course!). And if you want to avoid packaging altogether, you can buy our products loose at the Lamazuna store in Paris and from many of our retailers.
No need to panic!
You don't have to rub the shampoo directly over your hair. You could also rub it between your hands, like a soap, and then apply it!
We have a little tip too... Lean your head forward so you can really work the shampoo into the roots and spread it over your scalp. There's no need to rub it through the lengths of your hair, as they'll be washed when you rinse the shampoo off!
Yes! Our shampoos are sulphate-free, so you can use our shampoos for oily hair on colour-treated hair.
This product is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women as it contains essential oils. But don't worry – we have several shampoos that are free of essential oils, so they're perfectly safe for you to enjoy, even if you're pregnant or breastfeeding ! Our solid shampoos have a pH of between 5.5 and 6.5.
Coconut oil does not strip plant-based hair dye from your hair. Quite the opposite! It's actually recommended that you apply coconut oil to colour-treated hair to hydrate and revitalise.
What's more, our shampoos don't contain sulphates, so they're perfectly compatible with colour-treated hair. :)
No, our shampoos do not contain silicones!
The volume of our solid shampoos is now 70 ml, but the price hasn't changed!
It makes more sense to talk in ml rather than grams, as our solid cosmetics are all made by hand and poured into a mould with a specific volume. The density of our solid products can vary from one batch to another as it depends on humidity, the temperature in the room, and the density of the raw materials used.
When the density varies, the weight varies, but the volume remains the same. This is why we talk in ml for our solid cosmetics. It's a matter of precision!
Our solid shampoos have a pH of between 5.5 and 6.5.
If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, you can choose one of our shampoos that's free of essential oils. The shampoo with green clay and spirulina for oily hair will be perfect! The shampoo with rhassoul clay, however, contains essential oils, so it's not recommended if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.
The dimensions of our disc-shaped shampoos are approximately 7 x 1.8 cm. Our shampoos are made by hand using traditional methods, so these dimensions may vary slightly from one shampoo to another. The contents, on the other hand, are always the same: 70 ml !
Unfortunately, now that our shampoos come in a new, wider format, they no longer fit into our glass jar. But that doesn't mean you can't still use it!
Our Incredible Organiser is perfect for storing your solid products, including the new disc-shaped shampoos. It allows you to tell them apart and keep them dry too. Take a look at it here!
You can keep using the Lamazuna jar for other solid products, such as your deodorant. You could also use its perforated lid to hold our new shampoos. They may be bigger, but they're also flatter, so they could sit on top of the lid to dry out.
And last but not least, our mini pouches, made from upcycled fabric, can be used to hold our disc shampoos. They fit inside them perfectly!
Our shampoos last for about two months when used once every three days.
